Have you heard of Jordan Holmes (aka DXTR Spits) yet? His project https://howmencry.com/ is right in your sweet spot.
Also another kind of everyday Dad making moves to connect men to a new kind of masculinity is Dr. Jason Frishman. He’d be an interesting interview talking about the challenges of connecting these new thoughts and ideas with mainstream dudes. https://www.journeymenfoundation.com/
My favorite two interviews you've done were with Tyson Yunkaports and Sophie Strand. I personally would love to hear them again (I think they both have relatively new books out too).
As far as burning questions (I am relatively new to your work so I'm sorry if this has been addressed elsewhere or in the past), I'd love more about caregiving, both mythical models of care and mythical ways to imagine masculine caregiving. I'm a (soon to be) single dad and I take care of my disabled brother full time. It's difficult for me to offer narratives to my son that describe this value because I just don't know of any, and it's difficult to model this for him because it's not valued culturally. Love your work, thank you 🙏
Thanks for the tips. I reached out to Gabor recently and sadly they said he's uber busy and working on his next book and not taking anymore interviews.
Explore lunar masculinity with John Beebe (author "Integrity in Depth", and the archetypal guidance that Walt Whitman and Herman Melville offer with Steven Herrmann (author "Spiritual Democracy").
I would like you to talk about your topics with some spiritual guys like Jeff Foster, Rupert Spira, Daniel Schmidt (Samadhi Movies), Pema Chödoön, Jack Kornfield.
Maybe talking about gender topics in old scriptures like the Gita...
I guess I do have a Substack after all, so here's a cross post from your FB request: ;-)
Recommend you interview Tom Campbell, former NASA Physicist, consciousness researcher for 50 years (worked with Robert Monroe [of the "Journeys Out of the Body" trilogy fame] as a grad student in the early 1970s, has written his own "My Big TOE (Theory Of Everything)" trilogy explaining our reality as a result of his many years studying consciousness as a physicist, AND he's been working on finishing a draft concept outline for his next book called "Primal Man, Primal Woman". The rough draft of the outline for the book is available from his website, but I doubt that now with his Double-Slit Quantum Mechanics "Delayed Erasure" experiments on the cusp of showing the validity of his theory that he'll ever get to write it. Still, it would be a GREAT interview!
(There's a link to the .pdf of the skeleton concept draft of the book towards the bottom here, and you can also find a few good interviews where he talks about his "Primal Man" concepts in other YouTube interviews on his YouTube channel along with over a thousand hours of free lectures, interviews, and Q&As, etc.):
Ian, this is a little embarrassing, and I am aware of how pretentious it sounds. I don’t go around doing this. But I don’t see how our paths could otherwise meet, and I know we would have a potent conversation. I’ve been running the Better Men Project for years, and I am immersed in the world of ritual and ceremony. My work is rooted in social justice movements, but I’ve been long been working to bridge beyond its fundamentalisms and into more open, heterodox ways of thinking and being in our quest for liberation. Take a look at https://www.gibranrivera.com/podcast and https://www.gibranrivera.com/the-better-men-project ... thank you for the work you do.
Chris Skidmore, podcast "On the Soul's Terms". Strong in what Greek mythology can contribute to modern cosmology. Ask about his ideas around "patriarchy".
i think you could try to reach to john wineland. his book “from the core” i find a great distillation of many men’s work practices over the decades and it did brought a lot of value to me personally as well as the men’s work world in general. Layman Pascal is also an interesting guy
Kia ora from Aotearoa NZ. I have been listening to a range of your podcasts over the last couple of years and am very grateful for this incredibly rich work you are involved in... thank you!
I have also been following Seán ÓLaoire (https://www.spiritsinspacesuits.com/). He speaks from the lens of indigenous celt/mathematician/catholic preist/psychologist/polylinguist. I find his cosmology fascinating. I wonder if he would fit in well for an interview with you.
I actually met Thomas years ago and interviewed him. This was back in 2012. Here's one of the shorts I produced https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yQU-G7aVxXM I would definitely be curious to interview him again.
Richard Rohr is great, but I don't think he's doing any more interviews due to his health. I recommend trying to interview someone from Illuman; they are doing a lot of work in the men's spuritual space.

Thanks for the tip!
Jordan Holmes looks really good. Cool video interview by Audrey Boyle.

Great insight, love the question. I'll reflect upon it for sure.
In addition to my suggestions above I would love hear you talk with Boyd Varty, Gabor Maté and adyiashanti

Very intrigued!

I would be vert interested in exploring the question why there are almost only male spiritual teachers in the world
Interesting! I wonder about that... perhaps there are more 'visible' male spiritual teachers, with a few reasons contributing to that...

Very intriguing thanks for reaching out. I will check out your work.
Honored. I know how precious time and attention can be. Wherever you end up landing, know that I’m very grateful for your work. #keepgoing

We met as he took my Podcast Accelerator course. Definitely appreciated our conversations.

Great tip! Thanks for the heads up.
I have a feeling that you & Thomas Hubl would co-create a remarkable dialogue.

I imagine a powerful conversation between you and Richard Rudd.
Richard Rohr - he helped start Illuman and has done a lot of work related to masculinity and spirituality.
