I decided to (re)publish this bonus episode that I recorded a few years back with the venerable storyteller Martin Shaw.
It’s a telling of the classic folk tale The Lindworm, which Martin also featured in his book “Courting the Wild Twin.” You can find other tellings of the story from Martin, including this animated version from Emergence Magazine.
Martin was kind enough to record this version below, which includes a post-telling commentary & discussion with my friend Jenessa Donahue.
It’s also somewhat of a companion to the Mythic Masculine interview I recorded with Martin titled “Gambling With The Knucklebones of Wolves.” If you haven’t listened to that one yet, it’s well worth the time.
The full episode is available for paid Substack supporters. I’ve included a short excerpt below for folks to be suitably tantalized and make the leap to become a supporter.
Once again, I don’t accept advertising for this podcast and your financial support is huge. It costs as little as $5/month.
For the rest of you, the full episode is available below. Enjoy!
